Support Preston Drew For King

Conservation District Supervisor

Preston Drew is running for election to a Supervisor's position on the King
Conservation District Board. The election is this Thursday, March 19th and
he needs your vote.

KCD as an organization is autonomous from King Co. in how it manages its $6
million annual budget. The District provides free consulting, education and
grants to property owners, especially to farms and ranches, for conservation
and land enhancement projects. With this election, we can help insure that
KCD continues to do projects which truly help property owners and the
environment rather than frivolous projects which do the opposite.

Preston Drew is a rural resident who understands the issues and is efficient
with money. He will bring a perspective that will help to see that the
right projects are done for the right properties. He will also bring
knowledge of forest issues that the Board has not had previously.

Please vote on Thursday. KCD elections are typically low tally votes and so
it takes only a few votes to swing the outcome. Be one of the few.

There are many polling places around the county with long hours. Click your
mouse on this link <http://www.kingcd.org/new_ele_not_2009.htm> to go to
the KCD website page which will give you locations, times, etc. The
election is open to all registered voters in King Co. except those in the
cities of Enumclaw, Federal Way, Pacific, Milton and Skykomish.
