I am personally asking you to formally become a member of CAPR
<http://capr.us/pp_donate.php> , if you are not already a member.

 

Citizens' Alliance for Property Rights (CAPR) is the membership and
administrative organization of the trio of corporations commonly known
jointly as CAPR. In the past we have asked for donations to CAPR
Political Action Committee or CAPR Legal Fund, but not CAPR. That is no
longer true.

 

We have determined that there is an opportunity for significant
expansion of our membership available at this time and that we should
pursue such expansion. As CAPR President Steve Hammond puts it, "The
planets somehow seem to have aligned. Many folks are suddenly interested
in restoring property rights."

 

Individuals and leaders of other organizations with strong property
rights ties have urged CAPR to take the lead in the property rights
fight. They have pointed out that a larger CAPR is needed to make it
easier for larger money donors to give their support (and money) to
CAPR. That larger money is needed for us to be more effective in this
fight and the more members we have, the more the politicians pay
attention.

 

The first step necessary to take that lead is to expand geographically
via chapters and numerically via members. We currently have seven active
chapters and seven more areas showing strong interest. In order to
generate and handle this expansion, we need to have at least one person
devoting full time to this project, and we need to fund that person
through CAPR.

 

I know times are tough but that is often when opportunities such as this
one for CAPR are available. We have always kept membership prices low:
$25 for individuals, $35 for families, and $50 for companies. Signing up
is easy: print a form at http://capr.us/member.php and mail it to us or
sign up online at http://capr.us/pp_donate.php. 

 

Your immediate membership will allow us to fund a full time person
devoted to expansion. Expansion will allow us to seek funds from a
higher level of donors (both individuals and organizations) than we have
in the past. Money is the mother's milk of the political and legal
fights we need to pursue in order to restore your property rights that
are the basis of your liberty.

it off until tomorrow. Help us get to 

 

20 chapters and 3,000 members by the end of the year.

 

That would clearly send the message that we are the 

 

"Three Thousand Friends of Washington!"

 

Laurel and I appreciate greatly your past, patient support. It is time
to grow to the next step! We do not take lightly the act of sending this
request via the capr_announce list. Rather, it is an indicator of the
importance we put on this effort that we do so.
