[Capr-announce] Future of Farming meeting notice

To CAPR supporters;

 

On Friday, March 12th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM, there will be a meeting at the
Enumclaw High School Commons on the future of farming in King County.  The
meeting is sponsored by the King County Ag Commission.  Previous meetings in
the north county and in Auburn have heard technical, economic, flooding and
regulatory issues.

 

We expect Bob Vos from the Ag Commission and Steve Hammond from King County
councilman Reagan Dunn's staff to be present at the meeting, along with
other commissioners and county staff, to solicit your input.  Both are CAPR
Board officers.  The Ag commissioners have been working on a 10-year vision
for farming in King County, and they need your public input.  A goal is to
understand not only what you think is happening and will happen, and also
what should happen.

 

CAPR encourages interested parties to attend so that a cross-section of
stakeholders can be heard, especially relative to current farming
activities, plans and concerns.
