King County Council Rural Roundtable

The CAPR Board of Directors urges you to attend the King County Council
Rural Roundtable meeting, which is scheduled for Monday, July 23rd.  It is
to be held at the Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley.  With the first
draft of the King County Comprehensive Plan due in September of this year,
it is important that we pack the hall and take this opportunity to air the
issues that are important to property owners.  The Comp Plan is the basis
for county policy as it affects property.  Even if this event is only
planned to be another “dog and pony show” as part of the “process” of
crafting the Comp Plan, a roomful of people may have a dramatic effect.

The event will start with a 9:30 AM reception.  From 10:00 AM – 12:00, there
will be a roundtable discussion with local mayors and Unincorporated Area
Council Members and a report by Rural Ombudsman, David Spohr.  Afterward,
the County Council will take public testimony on any issue.
