After delaying the hearing on the ballot title for the Property Fairness
Initiative I-933 for a week, Thurston County judge Chris Wickham recused
himself from the case Friday morning. It seems he suddenly remembered
his membership in the Audubon Society, one of the groups challenging the
ballot title. The Farm Bureau, I-933's sponsor, was willing to have him
hear the case, but he preferred to stall the case another week so that
another judge can be appointed.
So, one collectivist judge can prevent two weeks of signature gathering.
The easy way to correct that indignity is to go collect some signatures.
As soon as petitions are available we will announce it via this list.
Listed below are folks who have volunteered to be signature captains for
their areas. If you live near them, please contact them for petitions.
If you live in an area not listed below, please consider being the
captain for your area. Contact me at 206.335.2312 or rod at sage1.com and
we will get you added to the list.
