Our client, headquartered in Renton, WA has an immediate need for a skilled
Unix Systems Engineer. They need to find someone that is an expert in
Solaris and someone that can code in C. Job description follows:


Required Experience 
. Solid understanding of UNIX based operating systems specifically SOLARIS
and Linux 
. UNIX Shell Scripting and/or Perl Scripting 
. Solid understanding and experience with HTTP, web servers APACHE and
others), setup of static and dynamic sites, state management (cookies,
tokens, session variables), authentication, and load balancing 
. Experience with various systems applications including but not limited to
Oracle, DNS, NFS, Sendmail 
. 2+ years of database experience (preferable Oracle) 
. Experience supporting large customer facing web sites with 100% uptime
requirements 
. Demonstrated ability to perform problem solving, troubleshooting, and
identify root cause 
. Need to demonstrate a clear understanding of Database basics (Prefer
Oracle experience) 
. Write and execute PL/SQL 
. Strong analytical and thinking skills 
. The demonstrated ability and commitment to work both as an individual and
as a member of a team to support customers 
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
. Strong technical writing skills 
. Demonstrated ability to write stored procedures is highly preferred 
. Experience with Weblogic on UNIX as well as windows is highly preferred 
. Ability to build and install systems from the ground up 
. A solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, routing, load
balancing 
. Experience with Cisco NETWORK hardware, switches, routers, firewalls
