At Blue Nile, our Senior QA Engineer is empowered to ensure the highest
quality site and shopping experience for our customers as well as the
various users that interact with the underlying systems on a daily
basis. The Senior QA Engineer has direct ownership of key company
initiatives and projects. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

*	Work directly and closely with developers, creative team, system
engineers, project managers and management to ensure the highest quality
software and products for our customers 
*	Participate in design discussions for both new software/products
and on-going enhancements as well as coordinate appropriate discussions
for resolution of bugs 
*	Perform functionality, compatibility, UI, and benchmark testing
on Blue Niles back office and e-commerce systems to identify bugs, and
pinpoint areas that need improvement 
*	Measure and define site performance and health metrics 
*	Create and execute automated tools and scripts for testing 
*	Maintain and create testing documents and support detailed test
plans 
*	Document all encountered bugs, their subsequent fixes, and
verify results in our bug tracking system 
*	Assist developers and system engineers on the most complicated
and difficult to reproduce issues 
*	Collect, analyze and report quality metrics to management 
*	Help mentor Blue Nile's growing QA & Release team
