Title:  Sr. Configuration Manager

Location:  Bellevue, WA

Salary:  $75,000 - 95,000

Status:  Full-time

Our Eastside client is looking for an experienced Configuration
Management engineer who will design and develop build system automation
and tools that are flexible and scalable across multiple software
products and operating systems. The selected candidate will work closely
with Development and Quality Assurance to solve complex build system
issues. The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience and
knowledge in building large-scale multi-platform systems and must have
strong verbal and written communication skills.

performing complex design and analysis of automated build systems;
planning, designing and implementing automated build framework tools

Requirements: 

* Plans, designs and implements automated build framework tools. 
* Works with QA to design and implement automated build verification
testing. 
* Works with Development to incorporate automated unit tests into build
system. 
* Documents and trains others on the use of the build system tools. 
* Document and maintain the build and packaging process for each
product. 
* Archive releases, including archiving software source code and build
environment for escrow. 
* Define and implement patch methodology. 
* Deliver all product releases, including post-ship product patches. 
* Administers the Perforce source control system, including creating
branches and merging code changes. 
* Researches new technology and development tools to remain abreast of
current technology. 

Technical and Functional Skills 

Required: 
* Experience using both UNIX-style operating systems (Linux and Solaris
preferred) and Microsoft Windows. 
* Experience writing and maintaining cross-platform build system tools
using Maven and Ant, targeting Linux, Solaris, and Windows. 
* Experience in the use, administration, and maintenance of source
control systems. 

Strong Plusses: 
* Experience creating and maintaining InstallShield-based installers on
Linux, Solaris, and Windows. 
* Experience with Perforce. 
* Proficiency in bash scripting, Java, C/C++, or Perl. 
* Experience with CruiseControl.
