We are in urgent need of SW Server developer with the following skill sets: 

The ideal candidate should have 5-8 or more years of professional windows
software development experience. This position can be also relocated to
Kirkland or Houston if the candidate prefers. 

The developer will be a key member in the Data protection engineering team,
responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing Windows 2000 and
Windows 2003 services and applications. Experience in developing Windows
2003, data management, backup/restore, disaster recovery, and business
continuance applications are required. Experience in developing these
applications on Windows is highly preferred. 

Responsibilities: 


*Design and develop data protection application for Windows 2000 and Windows
2003 using C. 
*Review functional and design specifications, System Quality Assurance test
plans, and product documentation 
*Analyze and debug user level memory dumps 
*Develop test and troubleshooting tools that can be used to isolate software
problems during application development cycle. Investigate and assist with
characterization of potential new product development projects. 
Requirements
*5-8 years or more professional Windows software development experience. 
*4+ years experience as lead developer on Windows 2000/2003 software
application development projects. 
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Volume Shadow-Copy Service (VSS) is
desirable. 
*Development experience on back up server or client side applications is
required. (Back up GUI does not count.)
*Excellent understanding of network protocols with emphasis on TCP/IP. 
*Thorough understanding of Windows 2000/2003 administrative task. 
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-starter and highly
motivated individual is a must. 
*Prefer individual with work experience on the server code of
Symantec/Veritas Net Backup, Legato/EMC Networker, Computer Associates or
IBM/Tivoli equivalent.
