<div dir="ltr">Thank you so much to the many people who helped with setup on Monday afternoon and who are continuing to help with boards, etc! And thank you for all the well wishes.<div><br></div><div>I'm recovering very nicely and getting stronger daily. I'm hoping / expecting to play on Sunday.</div><div><br></div><div>I will not be in shape for teardown on Sunday (or for a couple of months). David Dailey will take charge and drive the truck (thank you David!).
While I fully expect to be on-hand, we'll need help folding bidding boxes, taking down tables and getting everything stuffed back into the truck. As many of you as are able, please stay on to help us get done in a reasonable window of time. With a good group, it shouldn't take much more than an hour or two. But even if you can't stay for long, pitching in for a bit will help.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks again!<br></div><div><br></div><div>David</div><div><br><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Fri, Aug 18, 2023 at 7:12 PM Ann Romeo <<a href="mailto:annromeo@gmail.com" target="_blank">annromeo@gmail.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small">Hi everyone, </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small">Some of you may know (or not) that David Taylor is unexpectedly laid up in the hospital, having emergency surgery. First, we need to help unload the equipment truck and set up the game. This needs to be done Monday. David Dailey (the man of the hour) will collect the truck from DT's and drive it to Lynnwood. I am checking with Jenni to see if this can be done in the afternoon (after SBC game?) or if it needs to be done earlier. </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small"><b>IF YOU CAN HELP MONDAY afternoon, please let me know.</b> Dave usually does this all himself--I hope to use 5 able bodies (don't need to be strong--one of the jobs is to put out bidding boxes and the like on the tables). Once I confirm with DD and Jenni, I"ll let you know the time we are unloading the truck; you let me know if you can help. I can offer a regional free play chit to 5 helpers. Note that the tables are in bins on rollers, and the chairs on carts.... And think of this as bridge aerobics, counteracting all that sitting you will be doing in the week ahead.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small">AND there is another major thing that needs to be done on Monday afternoon: we need to start making a LOT of boards especially for Monday/Tuesday events. This is a bit...sensitive...as some of you will be playing the games in which these boards are used. I'm hoping to dedicate myself to this job (I have no games planned for Lynnwood), but need some help with this on Monday.
