A special ACBL BOD meeting was held this morning. Special meetings are held (frequently) to address topics requiring timely treatment. They normally include a report by Appeals and Charges Committee on cases it has heard since the BOD's previous meeting,
so the full board can review and ratify A&C's decisions and the notice of decision and implementation of discipline may be processed in a timely manner. Four cases involving ethical violations were reviewed and decisions ratified this morning.</div>

This morning's meeting also included a second reading and affirmative vote on a change to ACBL Bylaws that revises the Board of Governors Bylaws. This revision addresses the BoG's Purpose, Duties (including forming standing committees on i. Club and Teacher
support, growth and development, ii. Membership growth and retention, and iii. General matters relating to the play of bridge), Membership, and other subsections. This revision will strengthen the focus and role of the BoG on matters of high priority to bridge.
It will be voted on by the BoG during its Special Meeting this Saturday, 4/10/21.</div>
