I introduced the following motion at the recent BoG meeting.</div><div class=""><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;font-size:12pt" class=""><br class=""></span></div><div class=""><i style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;font-size:12pt" class="">The Board
of Governors should establish a committee of interested members to assist the
ACBL in data analysis until such a time that a robust data analysis capability
can be implemented within the ACBL staff.</i></div><div class=""><i style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;font-size:12pt" class=""><br class=""></i></div><div class="">The motion was approved and Richard Popper appointed me the chair of the committee.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I am starting by asking you, the Board of Governors, to help identify volunteers. We need people with quantitative skills. Please let me know if you are interested in supporting this committee and/or your have recommendations re suitable people.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I will also be asking the Board of Directors and District Presidents for recommendations for volunteers</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Once we have a team of volunteers, out first task will be to ask ACBL management and administrators (BoD, Horn Lake management, District/Unit Presidents) what information they need and what questions they would like to address that require data analysis -- this will provide a requirements statement for this committee.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Please let me know if you have any questions</div><div class="">Thanks</div><div class="">David</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">P.S.
