<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">On a personal note, I like STAC games, but appreciate that they are near pointless at clubs like Mercercrest, due to the difficulty in getting into the overalls at a tougher club than the average STAC game.</p>

Mercercrest probably is the exception as very few of the players in that game have any need for silver points.<br>

Based on the attendance at Eastside's Friday game, the 199ers section is almost always larger then the Open. I don't know how many of the 199ers there are seriously trying to make LM though. Quite a few of them were 199ers when I started playing duplicate
again in 2009.<br>

Of the 1,103 members in Unit 446 having any Masterpoints 704 have fewer than 500, and 510 have fewer than 200 (numbers from the coloradospringsbridge.com site).<br>
