Hi Jeff,

I'm responding just to you on this. I was asked about what to do in this situation by the team involved. And their story is different than Eric's. According to their team captain, Eric placed the pair on the team without asking them if it was ok. And they didn't want them on the team. So I advised them to tell Eric that. So after seeing Eric''s letter I'm not sure exactly what went on here.

On Thu, Apr 12, 2018 at 8:39 AM, Jeff Ford <jeffford@gmail.com> wrote:

I’m not sure why they would be allowed to change their team after the deadline other than to augment.

Jeff

On Wed, Apr 11, 2018 at 8:53 PM Eric Sieg <easieg@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi all,

Shooting to board and some others who might have ideas because they know
people :)

I had a complication come up today. I had a B team lined up for a round
robin of two pairs who were looking for teammates and were happy to play
with each other. A few days ago (well after Round Robin signups ended),
one pair informed me they wanted to play with a different pair. When we
talked they said they were fine running it as a 6 bagger, which didn't
seem like a problem.

Today they informed me that they weren't okay with a 6 person team and
were going to be a 4 person team with the new pair instead, which leaves
the other pair who did nothing wrong on their own without a team.

None of the remaining teams in B that are at 4 had expressed interest in
more than 4 when I talked to them, so the best solution would seem to be
finding another pair to make a new team. However, I'm not sure who else
to reach out to at this point. Building the existing 24 teams exhausted
pretty much all my ideas of people who might play or be otherwise
interested in the Round Robin.

However, while I know a lot more people than I did two years ago, there
are still many that I don't know very well who could easily be
interested. Does anyone have recommendations on people to reach out to
or other partnerships that might be interested?

As an FYI, here's the spreadsheet of current teams along with some names
of people I've reached out to previously as part of the build process:

Thanks for any help/suggestions/etc! :)
