<div dir="ltr">I just want to check my understanding of proposal 2. We are on a very tight timeline here. Note that we have a 5 hour window between the start of session 1 and session 2. To add in a session 3 on the same time line would make the start be 8:30. So the only way I see this proposal working is if we are planning on adding a session 3 that cannot be participated in by people who play is session 2. On the assumption that this is the proposal, I have some reservations. Do we really have a big enough audience to offer a fast pairs that will specifically exclude anyone who played in the 3:30 session ? I am concerned that both sessions would fair poorly. People who really want to play fast pairs would be forced to miss the afternoon session. It would seem to me that it would be better to arrange the start times for the three sessions in such a way as to allow all to participate. I'm not sure this is feasible, but how about 10:30, 3:00 and 7:30 starts for the three sessions? If proposal 1 is not accepted, the goal would be to alleviate the turnover issue without shifting the 1pm session start time.)<br><ul><li>Why make this change: If proposal 1 is accepted, this would allow us to accommodate working players with a session while getting folks out early enough for a 10:30 Saturday start to be feasible. Even if proposal 1 is not accepted, this would help alleviate the turnover issue for these sectionals.<br></li><li>Some arguments against if Proposal 1 is accepted: adding a third session increases directorial complexity and noise in venue during the last few rounds of the 3:30 session. Also, we would expect this to be low attendance. Is it worth the effort?<br></li><li>To be discussed: fast pairs may be too challenging for limited event players. So, if we did this, would we eliminate limited events for this session?
