I recall we hit 80 tables for an NLM in 2015, with one of the sessions around 30 tables. We set up about 34 tables, as I recall, at NSC last month. If there's a great venue in other respects, but can only handle about 30 tables, then we should look at it.<div><br></div><div>Nothing wrong in checking with the clubs, but in at least the case of EBC there is an issue with supplanting their Saturday game. I checked with EBC a year or so ago about holding D19 GNTs Finals there on a Saturday and Sunday. They needed at least $600 in rental fees for Saturday alone and I think they were really reluctant to cancel the Saturday club game many of their regulars enjoy. SBC seems like it would have sufficient space, as does EBC. If the clubs are willing to forgo their Saturday regular games for that weekend, I'd love to see us give that money to the bridge community by supporting one or both local club facilities.<br></div></div></blockquote><br></div><div>Going to one or both of the local clubs seems like a good idea to me as they have the facilities, and the capacity necessary for the NLM events. I looked at the EBC's table count for the Saturday game going back a year, and they're averaging 16.4 tables for the year with peaks over 20 for some special games and regular games in January.
