<div dir="ltr"><div>Just so we have the history, I checked the 2015 NLMs we hosted. The spring NLM had at most 28 tables of simultaneous play. The fall NLM had at most 22 simultaneous tables. Here's where I'm looking to find this information:<br><a href="http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2015/03/1503172.htm">http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2015/03/1503172.htm</a> <--spring 2015<br><a href="http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2015/11/1511143.htm">http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2015/11/1511143.htm</a> <--fall 2015<br><a href="http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2016/04/1604093.htm">http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2016/04/1604093.htm</a> <--spring 2016<br><a href="http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2016/10/1610177.htm">http://web2.acbl.org/tournaments/results/2016/10/1610177.htm</a> <--fall 2016<br><br></div>If I'm mis-reading the above records, let me know, but it seems like 30 would probably be plenty, and given that it seems to be declining, we could probably squeak by with less. Just noting in case it does actually help open up some options. <br><br>Also...to convert "table count" into square footage, I'm estimating that square footage needs would be around 2000-2500, based on the ACBL's facility guidance (<a href="http://www.acbl.org/about-acbl/administration/acbl-handbook/i-facility/">http://www.acbl.org/about-acbl/administration/acbl-handbook/i-facility/</a>). I recall we hit 80 tables for an NLM in 2015, with one of the sessions around 30 tables. We set up about 34 tables, as I recall, at NSC last month. If there's a great venue in other respects, but can only handle about 30 tables, then we should look at it.<div><br></div><div>Nothing wrong in checking with the clubs, but in at least the case of EBC there is an issue with supplanting their Saturday game. I checked with EBC a year or so ago about holding D19 GNTs Finals there on a Saturday and Sunday. Looking at the results in ACBL Live, it doesn't seem like we had that many tables at either of the recent NLM tournaments. October had <15 tables for all events posted. Spring had <15 tables for all events as well. I understand being optimistic (and I certainly want to get more tables there!), but over 2X is a large amount of optimism, and it seems like we shouldn't constrain our search on that basis. <span class="m_-3527405789623970057Apple-converted-space"> </span><br></div></div></blockquote><div><br></div>That would certainly increase the number of possible locations.</div><div><br></div><div>Is Forest Ridge still available after the problems from our last tournament there?</div><div><br><blockquote type="cite"><div style="font-family:Helvetica;font-size:18px;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;font-weight:normal;letter-spacing:normal;line-height:normal;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px"><div dir="ltr">Have we considered running it at either of our two "owned location" clubs? I looked at the EBC's table count for the Saturday game going back a year, and they're averaging 16.4 tables for the year with peaks over 20 for some special games and regular games in January. Just looking at the revenue at $10.00/player for these games, the average income was $654.40, and a maximum of $940.00 which is within the budget for hall rentals.</div><div><br></div><div>Bill</div><br></div></div></div><span class="">______________________________<wbr>_________________<br>Sbuboard mailing list<br><a href="mailto:Sbuboard@mailman.celestial.com" target="_blank">Sbuboard@mailman.celestial.com</a><br><a href="http://mailman.celestial.com/mailman/listinfo/sbuboard" target="_blank">http://mailman.celestial.com/<wbr>mailman/listinfo/sbuboard</a><br></span></blockquote></div><br></div></div></div></div><br>______________________________<wbr>_________________<br>
