Meanwhile, here is an alternate idea for consideration: a "Try it, you'll like it! Program"<br>

Extend to our 0 to 20 players the opportunity to play without entry fees in one of our open sectionals in 2017.  Player chooses which tournament.  Does not apply to nlm tournaments.

Perceived advantages: achieves our goal of giving player exposure to an open tournament, but has much smaller financial impact on Unit than a wide open "play free" policy. Also, builds in a time limit.  Some players will never move beyond 20.  We (the Board,

 I mean) can decide in a year whether to drop it, extend it to new members only, keep it open to all under 20s who have not yet done it, or other options.
