<DIV>Hi all,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Sharon has confirmed that she's willing to duplicate boards for us for
our sectionals once again this year. She needs additional sets to
facilitate the process, at least 4 so that she doesn't need to come in early
on Sunday, and preferably 10 to make all sets in advance (although she doesn't
mind making boards Friday evening).</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I can coble together one additional set of aluminum boards with a bit of
a mix of colors. Ann has one or more aluminum sets that she'd be willing
to loan us. Others may also be willing to loan us their boards. We
would need to arrange to get them to me by Monday.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>One option is to rent sets of plastic boards from TournTables.
Because of wear and tear on the boards and cards (particularly the boards,
which are annoyingly fragile), I would need to charge $15 per set per
tournament. I find that plastic boards are about twice as quick to make
as aluminum, making Sharon's job easier than having all aluminum.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>We could also purchase additional sets of boards. Options
are:</DIV>
<UL>
<LI>I would charge $220 for plastic boards, plastic cards and a nice case.
<LI>BaronBarclay has a special at $179 plus shipping. (FWIW, I'm not
fond of their cards or their case.)
<LI>BridgeBuddy charges $271 plus shipping, but that includes an extra dozen
sets of cards since they sell their cards in sets of 16.</LI></UL>
<DIV>I obviously have a bias, and I don't want to overly influence the
decision. Jeff, do you want to make the final call on this?</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks,</DIV>
