The goal is for the partnerships to have fun playing together moreso than
having a perfectly fair event. Most of the top players are better suited to
mentor players with some experience rather than the newest players. And
some players in group 3 wouldn't consider some players in group 2 to be
particularly better than them so they aren't getting the mentorship
experience they would like.

In some previous events we sat all the 1/3 pairs one direction and the 2/4
pairs the other so you only compared to people in your pool, but this also
meant that you never played at the table against people in your peer group,
so we were planning to mix that up for the next one.

And the event will be stratified, so everyone will have the chance to win
masterpoints by beating the people in their pool.
