[SBU Board] Mini McKenney Awards

Hi all,

I wanted to give a quick update. I've been chasing down Baron Barclay
regarding 2020 Mini McKenney medals. After many attempts and "we're looking
into this" responses, I've finally gotten confirmation that they will not
be creating 2020 medals and will no longer be making medals with years on
them at all going forward.  Our only option is purchasing the medals that
don't have a year on them for the award winners.  (Store link here if you

It basically comes down to that they're not getting enough purchases of the
year-dated medals to justify the print run.

With this and with our speculation that players aren't that into the medals
anyways, I'm going to send emails to the 2020 winners to confirm if they
want a medal given that it won't be dated and will instead be "generic."
I'll do this before buying a set and will buy only as many as we need and
are able to distribute.  I'll also let the board know what I learn in terms
of how many folks affirmatively want a medal vs. don't.
