[SBU Board] 2021 New Board Members!

Hi all,

We received four candidate submissions by the deadline of October 18th,
which was exactly the number of open board positions we needed to fill. As
such, *we will *not* be having an election. *

The four incoming board members for 2021 will be:

   - Cliff Feldman
   - Jeff Ford
   - Gene Gousie
   - Aidan Klein

Additionally, Carlyn Gauen submitted interest in helping out just after the
deadline, but she indicated she was interested whether as a board member or
"unofficially."  I chatted with her about the idea of her serving as
something of a "first alternate", to potentially fill in if we have any
unexpected departures from the board and/or to run and join next year. But
in the interim, she could participate as much as she likes in anything that
doesn't require formal board membership (e.g., votes). She agreed that
would be of interest to her.

I've reached out to all of the folks above to let them know. I offered to
add them to the mail list (and thus meeting info distribution) early so
they could start getting up to speed. For whoever takes me up on that, you
may start seeing them participating on this list.

Mike - I will also send over write-ups for you for the next SUN.

Thanks to our Nominating Committee -- Karen, Susan, & Tom L. -- for
bringing us a great slate of candidates!
