Hi all,
I pulled together the trophy standings:
2020_trophystandings.xlsx
<https://1drv.ms/x/s!AumeGvC5TMn5htxdVS3AvDICWZcNUg?e=JjV3TY>
Details are below. Please feel free to look over and let me know of any
questions or concerns. *Otherwise, I'll publish the below leaderboards
(not the full spreadsheet) to the trophy area of the website later this
weekend and reference it when we send out the email about the trophy qual
club games.*
Given the low number of folks for the Jabon, I was thinking of sending a
special email notice to Jabon qualifiers in our unit about the virtual
points games over Thanksgiving, to hopefully help bring more competition
into that group (and maybe activate some of our newer players on BBO
clubs). *Does anyone object to Jabon qualifiers getting a special notice of
the trophy qual club games in addition to the mass email blast?*

Leaderboard for Jabon (has not changed since Sweetheart except due to
players leaving the unit -- either not renewing or moving away):
1. 2.58 Christopher Hyland
2. 2.04 Harold Hal Bomgardner
3. 2.04 Lisa Lambert-Davis
4. 2.04 Dane Shaffer
5. 1.82 Sheila Dahl
6. 0.99 Betsy Bohnert
7. 0.77 John Walsh
8. 0.68 Mary Watts
9. 0.64 Christopher Brown
10. 0.64 Aaron Brown
11. 0.59 Cathy Kay
12. 0.26 Kendall Aberg
13. 0.13 Karen Bartlett
(We only have 13 qualifying folks who have earned points for Jabon.)
Methodology:
- I retrieved all players who earned points in the Sweetheart Sectional.
- I looked up the points won on Saturday (grass roots day) and
determined how much each player would lose due to the adjustment. That is
then added to their total as a negative value in the grass roots adjustment
column.
- I checked this against the totals Mike and Sharon had previously
put together to make sure it came out correctly for the adjustment.
- I put in a column for virtual trophy points earned at the KO event.
- I summed the three columns.
- I looked up ACBL numbers for everyone listed in our roster.
- If they weren't listed in our unit's roster, I marked them as not
being in our unit in the ACBL number column.
- The Jabon/Unit column does a lookup to confirm the ACBL number
appears in the unit roster as a current member of the unit.
- I manually double-checked any "n/a"s in my lookup formula and
adjusted if the issue was the life master letter. In most cases,
the person
has moved away. In a few cases, their membership has been cancelled or
expired.
- To determine Jabon qualification, I looked at YTD points vs. total
points. Anyone in the unit whose starting total at beginning of year (i.e.,
total-YTD) was under 20 is considered qualified.
