Hi all,
Tom L. asked last night about whether he could create some small
flyers/handouts about 8 is enough aimed at the newer players in clubs or at
the sectional. This is a great idea, and I wanted to empower the board on
these ideas. *Anyone on the board is welcome to create supplemental flyers*
to help promote events in other spaces. Here are the guidelines we should
all use:
- Check in with me (and Ray, if it's for a unit game) first, largely to
make sure we're not already in progress on a similar effort.
- *Run expected costs by Tom B. and I before you commit/purchase.*
- Once you have a draft, send it to the board list for review/feedback.
- If it's for a sectional or regional, there are unique requirements,
and the ACBL and DIC also have to approve. Expect and plan for extra
scrutiny and review cycles.
Also, if you notice that your local club is out of flyers for one of our
upcoming events or if you're headed to a sectional or regional outside our
unit, *anyone on the board is welcome to print and distribute copies of our
existing flyers as needed.* You can download them from the ACBL's website
(also linked from our website for each event) or from the board Google
Drive. Again, just be mindful of costs vs. benefit and run expected costs
with me and Tom B before spending.
Thanks all,
JC
