[SBU Board] Quick reminder - Emails that aren't from me

Quick reminder that, as a board member, you are going to get emails that
claim to be from me but aren't from me. Some bot/scraper somewhere pulls
unit and tournament contact info from the ACBL and uses it for phishing
emails. This has been going on for at least 2-3 years, affecting every
unit and district.
Ways you can tell it's not from me:
- The email address isn't jc.chupack @ gmail.com (usually some other
gmail address)
- For those of you who have my personal tsukata.org email address, it
won't be that, either. :)
- The sig file will say "sent from iPhone" or similar. I don't own an
iPhone, never have and never will (iOS flummoxes me). And my sig file, when
I include one, will be the one you see at the bottom of this email.
So far, all these emails do is to try to get you to reply and then may try
to trick you into a gift card scam. Don't reply, just ignore/delete/spam it.
Thanks,
JC
PS - I'll be putting out a draft agenda tomorrow for our May 4th meeting.
:) That email will be legit! :D
