Thanks, Susan.
I forgot to mention that I’d be surprised if Barbara hadn’t been a director of D19 at one time, but I couldn’t find that information anywhere on the internet. Does anyone know? Or have a contact who would know? Dudley Brown, maybe?

As you most likely know, there will be a bridge party for Barbara Nist next Monday night at her club on Mercer Island to celebrate her achieving the rank of Grand Life Master (10,000 masterpoints plus a national championship). Unfortunately we’ll have to miss it because it conflicts with our Board meeting.
Ann and I believe that it would be nice for the Board to recognize her accomplishment by adopting a resolution of congratulations. We – and any other Board members who want to be present – could drive over after the Board meeting and present it to her.
I’ve prepared the attached draft. Please look it over and let me know of any comments or suggested revisions. Editorial suggestions are welcome, but I’d like to have them early so that I can have the resolution printed up on good paper or card stock before we present it to her, and that means before the Board meeting.
FYI, other living Grand Life Masters in our Unit are Pat and Polly Dunn, Steve Beatty, Henry Lortz, John Shermer, and Tom Carmichael (although he apparently has never transferred his affiliation to our Unit), and deceased Grand Life Masters Paul Soloway, Joe Jabon, and George Steiner. Overall, there have been 496. https://web3.acbl.org/mpraces/?year=2019&race=GLM&showDeceased=Y
