Thanks for sharing, Ann. This was interesting.

I think one of the more impactful highlights here is that they are once
again ending the Pianola support. As soon as we have the info on cost/plan
to contract with Pianola, we need to evaluate. Currently, the ACBL provides
no other direct way for us to reach members outside our unit to promote
tournaments. (The posting on the ACBL website and Bulletin listings are
indirect/broad.)  We are not able to download rosters (i.e., email
addresses) for surrounding units.  Without Pianola and/or some adjustment
in how the ACBL lets us access member data, we're back to flyers.

I also want to note that even if the ACBL gave us the rosters for
additional units, we couldn't use Mailchimp at our current free/non-profit
tier to promote events. The free tier is limited to 2000 contacts. Our unit
currently has a little over 1500 electronic contacts. (We have more members
but not everyone provides an email address.)  We'd exceed the free tier if
we added any additional units to our contact list.

So...a potential cost on the horizon for us to discuss once the ACBL
provides more info.
