U446 Board Members,

Great job with the sectional this weekend.  First time venues can present challenges.  Lots of positives, including (and unanticipated) David T's being able to back the trailer right up the doors of the commons.  Two issues that came up were chairs and parking.  The attached the site survey report I sent out last August touches on these.

The report notes that throughout the school there are 217 portable chairs (the wooden chairs that people were moving around to use), plus 100-200 more folding chairs in the closet in the commons.  During the survey, Renae and I had Natalie walk us throughout the school to determine the total number of wooden chairs.  She indicated these were available for us.  There were dozens in the library and some in other rooms around the school away from the commons.  If the unit returns to IMS, I strongly suggest you have Natalie have the custodians move all wooden chairs from around the school to the commons prior to set up on Friday AM.  If our 217 count was accurate and is still valid, this would be enough to populate 54 tables.  This should leave only a few tables (perhaps the dozen that are set up on the upper level on the north side of the commons) needing to be populated with the blue folding chairs.

Parking was mentioned by some.  As noted in the survey report, there are 4 handicap + 99 other spaces on the east side of IMS and the entire shoulder along 84th Ave is nearby and available.  There is also the staff parking lot on the north side of the school (some players parked there).  This is more than enough of parking for a summer sectional.

Well done.

Tim
