> With heavy heart, I must tell you that Beth passed away Thursday afternoon, after experiencing a terrible fall and head injuries on a steep driveway Monday afternoon. Emergency surgery that night seemed to stabilize her, and she could respond to some verbal requests. But then massive new bleeding inside her brain made her comatose starting Tuesday. With no expectation by her doctors for improvement, and in accordance with her Health Care Directive and the concurrence of all family members and doctors present, artificial life support was removed Thursday.
