I'd like to formally declare my intent to run again for the unit board.
Statement below and photo attached.
===

In my time on the board, I've worked to have our website, emails, and
flyers be easy to use and understand. I worked with the ACBL to make the
emails they send on our behalf more accessibly designed for readers with
impaired vision. In my first year on the board, I wanted to make sure our
tournaments were aligned with our members' interests, so I organized and
chaired a subcommittee that conducted a survey of the membership's
preferences for our sectional tournaments and consulted directors and
players for input. With that data as well as ACBL data about members and
attendance, the board has been actively adjusting how and where we run
tournaments to better fit the interests of our membership, particularly for
the players with fewer than 750 masterpoints that are the majority of our
unit. In the past year, I've served as Secretary, and as part of that role,
I've made our unit board meeting minutes more accessible to members and
made actions easier to track for our board. I've also chaired two of our
sectional tournaments. Ultimately, I want our board to serve our
membership, including newer and novice players, and as a board member, I
look for opportunities to make duplicate bridge, via our unit's events and
communications, more accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to all players.
