[SBU Board] Round Robin Complications - Suggestions?

Sherry has said she doesn't want to play in the Round Robin.
I have played in it several times before (some time ago) and enjoyed it; in fact our team won flight B several times.
Bill and Nelson are pleasant people; and they and the Unit need a pair to step forward.
I have almost 1900 points, and Sherry around 800.
Sounds as if we would qualify to play in "B," but if otherwise please let me know promptly.

I will talk to Sherry again, and will let you know either way.
In the meantime, I would appreciate it if you could keep this to yourself.

The two who need a team are:
Nelson Davis
Bill Campbell

I think Ted Bartunek might also be up for playing, although didn't hear from Bill if Ted is definitely in or not. If he is, he might only be able to play part time similar to last year (when he only played a couple of the matches).

And the two existing members of the team?

There is no official masterpoint limit for B, although I've been trying to keep things somewhat balanced. A big complaint last year was that there weren't enough good teams in the 2nd bracket so the season lacked suspense. I'm hoping that the field will be a lot stronger/more consistent this year with the 3 brackets so as long as a new pair aren't top A players than it should be fine.

What is the master point limit for Strat B?

Who are the two "B" players who need teammates?

Subject: [SBU Board] Round Robin Complications - Suggestions?

Hi all,

Shooting to board and some others who might have ideas because they know people :)

I had a complication come up today. I had a B team lined up for a round robin of two pairs who were looking for teammates and were happy to play with each other. A few days ago (well after Round Robin signups ended), one pair informed me they wanted to play with a different pair. When we talked they said they were fine running it as a 6 bagger, which didn't seem like a problem.

Today they informed me that they weren't okay with a 6 person team and were going to be a 4 person team with the new pair instead, which leaves the other pair who did nothing wrong on their own without a team.

None of the remaining teams in B that are at 4 had expressed interest in more than 4 when I talked to them, so the best solution would seem to be finding another pair to make a new team. However, I'm not sure who else to reach out to at this point. Building the existing 24 teams exhausted pretty much all my ideas of people who might play or be otherwise interested in the Round Robin.

However, while I know a lot more people than I did two years ago, there are still many that I don't know very well who could easily be interested. Does anyone have recommendations on people to reach out to or other partnerships that might be interested?

As an FYI, here's the spreadsheet of current teams along with some names of people I've reached out to previously as part of the build process:

Thanks for any help/suggestions/etc! :)

Eric
