Congratulations Nick! Great news!
As the U446 board is eager to learn the outcome of these efforts, I'm cc'ing them.
Would you be comfortable if I were to write up an article for The Sun newsletter discussing the board's efforts to try to harmonize with the clubs and making mention of cooperatively tackling the Alki parking situation?

This gives us 10 passes that allow four hour parking. Four hours is not what we were hoping for, and neither is 10 passes. However, if they don't notice significant impact on the available parking spaces, I think we might have an argument to increase the hours after the test program.

At previous attendance levels, the twice-weekly games at the club bring approximately [number] visitors to the neighborhood each week. At least some of those visitors also patronize other local businesses while there. While we do not have any firm statistics, we do have anecdotal evidence. For example, one regular player has reported that he and his wife have spent [number] on eyewear at a shop in the Junction Area.”

Unfortunately, I did that at home and brought the copies with me. I need to get him a copy of that today if at all possible. If you still have your copy, could you scan it and email it to me?

They were taking a walking swing around the neighborhood toward the Eagles and onward to the north and east checking out parking situations. I asked if I might join them and they were happy to have me do so. They were clearly in a problem investigation/solving mode. I see this as a strong sign we effectively communicated to Lyle that we very much need his help, support and advocacy in resolving the parking problem and that he has a sense of urgency about the matter.

Nick will poll his Alki players this week and next (perhaps on Oct 2 as well prior to our next meeting with Lyle) to capture by-name how many would carpool in a three-person carpool, and how many would carpool in a two-person carpool, if it meant access to the lot across the alley without having to move the car during the session.

Nick would maintain, and for each game check out & check back in, an agreed number of dashboard placards (the quantity is subject to negotiation -- Lyle mentioned the range 10 to 12 "extensions" -- perhaps a going in position of 15 for negotiation). Nick made a great selling point for a meeting with Lora -- that by getting players into carpools this plan could actually reduce the number of vehicle-hours occupying the lot.
