[SBU Board] Unit Board Active Items

As a substantial amount of unit business is in process, and we are not planning a July board meeting, I'd like to make note below of a number of currently active items and ask that anyone who might need support in any of these items to please let the rest of us know.

1.  Completion of deployment of flyers for the July sectional at Forest Ridge

2.  Development and printing of flyers for September sectional at Kent Commons, for availability at July sectional

3.  Kim and John W are addressing several other remaining items for the July sectional

4.  Patti, has Amy LaZerte confirmed yet the several 2016 & 2017 dates for NLM and Open sectionals we are planning to hold at NSC?

5.  Tim is preparing a first draft 2018 version of the calendar table the Tournament Sites Committee uses in its work to develop and coordinate prospective dates & venues for the unit's sectionals.  This draft calendar will be populated with scheduled/traditional dates for sectionals and regionals in geographic proximity, D19 GNT & NAP Finals, NABCs, US Bridge Federation events, holidays and other events (e.g. NFL Playoffs including Super Bowl) that constrain the dates we will have available to us.  Remaining dates will be annotated as candidate dates for our 2018 sectionals.  I plan to circulate this first draft to the entire board for info and comment prior to sending it to the ACBL Field Supervisor (Matt) for review and verification of permissible/sanctionable dates.  After receiving feedback from the Field Supervisor, I'll update the calendar and coordinate a meeting of the Tournament Sites Committee during which we will begin hashing out a lineup of proposed 2018 tournament dates & venues to take to the full board for review and approval.

6.  Susan is coordinating potential appearances before the board of the D19 1st Alternate Director candidates

7.  Tim needs to let the ACBL Director of Elections know whether U446 board members will be voting on D19 1st Alternate Director electronically or at a board meeting.  Anyone who has not yet weighed in on voting electronically versus at a live board meeting, please let me know.

8.  Coordination of minutes from June board meeting

Please advise of other active items we should be touching base on in the near term.
