and I was writing to Renae, who said that smoking killed the sequim
tournament.  I think we need to broadcast this as an example.  I also think
we need to set up a designated spot, away from campus, and provide a way to
properly dispose of butts.

And I think THAT is the type of news that needs to be said publicly, in the
SUN.  We all need to police each other.  I honestly think we need to have a
designated smoking spot and provide a can (empty coffee can, with sand in
it) for the smokers.  If they deposit it properly, we can help our cause.
I know we don't want to encourage smoking, but think of it as a needle
exhange--you have to manage the problem not
​ just​
ban it--that won't work.
