> Dear SBU Board Members-
> Since tomorrow evening is your first Board meeting of the year, it will be better if I attend the February meeting for our SNGB request as I know you have much to do at the first meeting and the delay will not pose an issue. I have been working hard on our school bridge business and on Dec. 15- our first annual organizational meeting was held. Our Directors are Anne Farmer- Chairman/President, Ann Romeo- Vice-President, Bill Bumpas- Treasurer and Shirley Johnson- Secretary. The other four Bioard members-JohnWeinberg, Patti McCullum, Don Logerwell and Barbara Nist will be introduced at out first quarterly Board meeting at the end of February. There are 2 Board positions open and we have extended applications to a few folks. We have all our corporate organization done, our 501C3 status has been approved by the IRS and we are working on our annual fundraiser- the Corporate Challenge, an annual Bridge Tournament where various companies will compete against each other in an all day event which will be held at and hosted by the Women's University Bridge Club. We have already received positive feedback from invitees such as Boeing, Geekwire, Starbucks, Microsoft, Regence and Amazon. This annual event will be able to fund not only the school bridge program, but also the summer B4Youth camp and provide a college scholarship to UW in perpetuity. The co-operation and confidentiality of SNGB and the SBU is appreciated on this matter, I will be asking a lot of help from both the SNGB Board and the SBU Board for this fun event. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Please feel free to contact me.
