[SBU Board] Unit board member statement

Hi!

I'm interested in the remaining unit board position.  Please find my
statement below, and,  should you need it, I've also attached a photo.

I took my first two years in Seattle as a break from volunteering while I
got familiar with the area and acclimated to my work.  I moved here to work
for Amazon; I'm a Senior Product Manager on the Mobile Ads team.
Previously, I lived in the Chicago area, and I served on the
board/leadership team of Chicago Mensa in a few capacities, including
chairing their annual regional gathering, which is the largest Mensa RG in
the country with ~500 attendees.

Now that I'm ready to give my time, I want to get more involved with the
organization of bridge.  I commend how the leaders of this organization,
both locally and nationally, have fostered a sense of inclusion and
respect. Further, I appreciate the amount of logistics that go into our
events, and I will work to maintain that high quality level to which we are
accustomed.  I hope to engage with and foster the tech community in the
game of bridge, as well as representing the members of our unit who are
employed full time.  I regularly play at the UW game on Sunday evening and
occasionally at other weekend games. I try to go to as many tournaments as
vacation time allows.  I also play frequently on BBO.
