[SBU Board] Unit board member statement

[Jeff Ford]

You are the only candidate for the position, so you will be joining the
board in January 2016. It's great to have you! We will have a board holiday
party in December that serves as a good way for new members to meet the
current board. I'll send you more details on that as soon as it is
scheduled.
