[SBU Board] Next Tournament Sites Committee Meeting

Our tournament sites committee -- John W, Ann R, David, Patti and I -- will next meet at the Roy St. Cafe at 6pm on Wednesday, April 8.  We will go over updates to our venues database and look at dates & venues for 2016 tournaments and for a prospective 2nd IN Sectional in 2015 in the fall.  

As a follow-up to our last board meeting, Jeff contacted Matt to explore the idea of moving the dates of our Sweetheart Sectional forward to the 4th weekend in January, which has been vacated by the Port Townsend Sectional and falls between the NFL conference championships weekend and Super Bowl weekend.  However, there is a sectional scheduled in Burnaby that weekend in 2016, so Matt will not sanction a Unit 446 sectional that weekend.  We will need to return to Feb dates for 2016.

I will bring to our committee meeting calendar information on all currently scheduled regionals, sectionals and STACs in D19, and NABCs, in 2016 so we can steer clear of those dates as need be.

Committee members:  please bring to our meeting new/updated information you have relating to prospective venues, including South Bellevue and the school districts.

All 446 board members:  our committee would welcome any comments, suggestions and ideas you might have pertaining to tournament dates & venues for 2016 and beyond.  Please email mail these to us prior to our meeting on April 8.
