[SBU Board] Unit 446 Treasurer Transition

At the March Unit 446 board meeting, I relinquished the office of treasurer.  John Weinberg graciously allowed his name to be placed in nomination and he was elected to be my successor.  John and I have been coordinating our transition -- sharing and discussing relevant materials, tasks and resources.  Tomorrow we will meet up at Key Bank to get John signature authority on the Unit's account.  

Unit 446 Board members:  Today I paid all open financial obligations (save one -- see below), reviewed the status of the checking account with John, and handed off to John all books of checks.  If you have any reimbursable expenses out of the NLM sectional, or otherwise going forward, please communicate them to John.

Matt:  This is a heads up that John will now be working with you at tournaments and otherwise in the capacity of treasurer.  (I will support John as he performs treasurer duties at the May sectional.)  Also, as you may know, Nick was unable to input to ACBLscore financial sheets yesterday at the NLM section as the program would not accept his Director #.  As a result, I did not have the amount due the ACBL for director costs, sanction fees, etc..  This is an open commitment and John will be providing a check payable to the ACBL once the amount due is known.

I very much enjoyed my time as treasurer and learned a lot.  I know John will bring fresh thinking and ideas to the position.
