We have (drum roll please), 35 kids signed up for bridge camp this year.
We have 24 in the first (beginning) week with Alan Tesler (July 6-10) and
11 kids in the advancing class with Nick Tipton (July 13-17).  There will
be a big bridge game with all the kids and their parents on Saturday July
18, all at Mercercrest.  You all are invited (let Cheryl Zettler or me know
if you wanna come).

This is an amazing growth rate, up from 23 kids last year, and up from 3
kids 4 years ago.

We've worked really hard to make this happen--the money you gave us last
year is key to make this camp go this year (Larry is pulling back,
understandable so).

Most of the kids are East Siders, many from the Chinese community.  There
is obviously potential to start a program in East Side schools.  If we ever
do a retreat, I'd love for this to be on the agenda--we'll need a lot of
support and strategy to make this type of program happen.

Next year I'm hoping to get some funding from the ACBL--we missed out this
year, so the whole thing is on us...

Just wanted you to know.  This is really good for our future, I think.
