It's been 111F here several days this month. Cyclone Yasi has
just destroyed much of far north Queensland. That's just after
much of the state was flooded

North Korea has had the most consecutive days of sub zero temps
since the 1940s

How about this weather we are having lately.
Well the damage from cyclone Yasi is nowhere near as bad as expected
from a cyclone of that size and power. However lets face it its
still very early in the piece
and some places such as Mission Beach, Tully, Lucinda, Cardwell and
Babinda, where the eye went over we do not have any pictures as yet.
It seems like there
has not been any loss of life. Waht I would like to know is 'what
is it that Queensland has done to deserve Flood and Cyclones (2)'.
Maybe we have upset the GODS.
From what we can tell down in Brisbane the worst hit is the Banana
and Cane sugar industry. The cost to resources Rail, Road etc with
flood and now this is
well over the 20billion mark.

I must also acknowledge the huge cost of weather in both the US and
Uk. I am so glad we are in temps above 30C but the humidity is a bit
of a killer at 80%.
I think I have a leak.

Val and I lost the roof off the house 2 years ago and went through
the depressed stages, so I feel for all the folks who have been
traumatised with the huge floods
and now the cyclones. We have been told that the cyclone season ends
in April..................... we just wait.

To Man-wai and Vu Pham: Kung Hei Fat Choy. How the hell are you, no
invasions on as yet in the 'yellow sub' ? As for Lonni its just as
well I can still remember to spell
at 77. I must admit that this list is rather barren since I was last
around, but I dwell in the past nowadays when we used to get 100+
emails a day.

Luck to all in the US with the coming freeze
