After the previous thread regarding KDE4, I thought I'd mention that I'm fairly impressed/happy with a new installation of Vector Linux 6.0:<br><br>1. LXDE runs nicely on old hardware.<br><br>2. I got almost all of the applications I usually use via gslapt.. (I'm still trying to get PostgreSQL to work.)<br>
<br>3. DVD playback worked out-of-the-box using xine. Xine was started automatically when the DVD was inserted.<br><br>4. A USB thumbdrive was mounted automatically. Although no icon appeared on the desktop, the thumbdrive appeared as a device in the file manager.<br>
<br> 5. The menu is organized in a similar manner to KDE3.<br><br>The only thing I haven't tested is printing which will have to wait until I return to my printer on Tuesday.<br><br><br>Have a great weekend!<br><font color="#888888"><br>
