OK, I don't know about you all, but I'm annoyed. Just WTFO is wrong<br>
with all the world's programmers? Does something have to be different<br>
to be better/improved? And even if they think it's better, why is it<br>
rammed down a user's throat with a firehose?<br>

This am, there were a bunch of upgrades on the plate. One apparently<br>
was KDE. So here's KDE4. I really didn't pay attention, I don't even<br>
use it. But my kids do. My wife does. In fact, everyone I know who<br>
uses Linux uses KDE.<br>

Wife logged in today and gave a huge, frustrated EUGGHH. "I just got<br>
used to the this and now its changed AGAIN! Where's my web browser?<br>
Where are my apps? Where's my little 'K' to open things? Where is<br>
everything I know?"<br>
<br>
So I have to spend 30 minutes to find everything and show the wife how<br>
to use the computer all over again while I listen to her complain.<br>
<br>
I wonder how many programmers did this to their wives and if they're<br>
still married to them.<br>
<br>
This has not been a good day.<br>

</blockquote></div><br>I understand why KDE made the massive changes in creating KDE4; but it redefined me out of their "market". Most of the new features remind me of the cell phones on the market -- the manufacturers spent more effort on social networking and multimedia than ergonomics and phone performance! I'm spending less, not more, time on the computer, so the new learning curve failed the cost/benefit test. Siimple and fast suit me just fine.<br>
