<p>I've largely given up on the "smart" stuff overall. Too many bogus answers from drives that aren't well supported. And the smart tests don't seem to reveal much. </p><p> </p><p>I frequently use the drive tools from Seagate, WD, and Hitachi. But they all have the unfortunate feature of being single pass.
