Anybody Still Here?

Hi Matt: over the years I've accumulated a number of ancient laptops.
Several were given to me because they choked when Win 8 was installed.
I installed an SSD and run Linux with very satisfactory speed.

My favorite is an antique Toshiba Satellite.  It has a Centrino CPU and
only runs 32-bit OS's.  I like it because it has real clickey keys
instead of those numb chiclets.  Mint dropped 32-bit support after 19,
so I tried LMDE and it runs fine.

My desktop tower - Lenovo -  died last year.  I got an Intel NUC that
came with Win 11 installed, which the old Lenovo could not digest.  I
only use Win 11 for Block income tax software.  I really hate it and
especially its cantankerous updates.  I dual boot Mint on it.  It's OK
but is slow to boot up, and worst of all, Intel discontinued the line as
well as all tech support.

So I got an ASUS PN mini with the AMD Ryzen CPU.  This one boots lickety
split and I also dual boot it.
