(OT) Phone/Internet options in OZ

When I went to Verizon a couple of weeks ago, they said that my
iPhone 6 Plus will work there, and with their global data plan
there would be a $10.00 charge for any day on which I used the
phone (it wouldn't charge for an unanswered incoming call, only
if I answer it).  They also said that the newer iPhones would
work with other SIM cards.

When I'm in Sydney and Brisbane, I'll have WiFi available which
will take care of most of my needs.  I can use Skype some too.
