Linux and EFI

Have you checked the EFI settings to see if you can disable the
signature requirement? If not, I'd search a bit. Sometimes the feature
is there but just hidden.You might find a patched firmware image or a
howto to do it yourself.

The HP Microservers are well know for their BIOS "hackability" (they
use BIOS, not EFI but the same principle still applies).
