RIP Seagate hard drives

I think the upshot of the deal with WD is that Toshiba IS now in the consumer desktop market.  Micro center has 500GB and 1.2.and 3TB disks cheaper than WD and Seagate--but I don't see them at Amazon.  Or maybe I do--a 1TB that is listed as Toshiba, but the picture and copy say Hitachi.

Toshiba is still independent, but they're a niche at this point.  I
dont' believe that they make desktop class products.  Hitachi is also
still in the game, but they're all focused exclusively on enterprise
storage products (SAS, etc).
