A while back we did a lot of research as to how best to sanitize old
floppies, tapes, cd/dvd's and hard drives. We resolved to either
drilling holes through the bubble and platters or simply having an
intern mash it all with a heavy hammer.

All that nonsense has since been replace with a shredder from SSI.
Nothing does into the public refuse stream without first being shredded.
