Well, I'm not too sure whether the fan is doing its job or not -- it is
a "golf-bladed fan", which is a fan with little dimples on the blades 
that is supposed to reduce noise as it spins. The thing about the SG05 
is that it is so quiet, even with the fan spinning at 1000+rpm, that you
aren't quite sure if this is an elaborate con or outstanding 
engineering. My home server, a Dell, sounds quite noisy in comparison, 
but at least you know the fans are working.
